Aquarium of the Pacific

This was a camping weekend for us at Bolsa Chica state beach. On Saturday we decided to head out to the aquarium of the pacific. The kids absolutely loved it and did not want to leave!


This was a small tide pool area where William and Briana were able to touch the sea life.

Even Alyssa enjoyed watching all of the swimming sea creatures!





The aquarium had huge displays of sting rays, sharks, sea otters and many other animals outside.


William is petting the sting ray with two fingers. They stressed that all of the sea life should be pet with a gentle two finger touch.

The kids enjoyed this water area. It was a demonstration of how rain fall flows in southern California.

Alyssa is 8 months old!

I can't believe my little teddy bear is already 8 months old. She still only has her two bottom teeth. She doesn't really crawl yet. She basically drags herself around on the floor to get to certain toys. She's still not great about sitting up and will flop over and begin to "crawl" on the ground without warning. So, I really don't encourage her to sit up on the tile floor. She has become so aware of her surroundings and refuses to be left out of family activities. We have to pull her high chair up to the table while we eat so she can be a part of the family.

Wild Animal Park

We had not been to the Wild Animal Park in so long. It turned out to be such a nice day and the kids had so much fun!



We discovered the Loikeet encounter during this trip. Briana was able to feed a lorikeet some nectar. This was taken just before she jumped and spilled some in her hair. She thought the bird was going to bite her!

Briana enjoys spending time with her family. Her birthday celebrations would not have been compete without them. We just had a quiet get together with grandma, papa, aunt Justin and cousins.

Briana's Birthday Party

Briana's 5th Birthday was on a Friday this year and so we invited all of our friends over to celebrate. Briana had such a great time playing with all of her friends. Her absolute favorite part of the party was when everyone sang happy birthday. I still can't believe my baby is already 5!


A beautiful day to celebrate. We have had such cold weather lately that the trees actually have a little color.

What to do with Alyssa while hosting a party with over 40 people. I put her in the high chair and hoped for the best!

She was as good as gold the whole day. She fussed at one point for a bottle but other than that she was a very happy baby!

Time to open gifts! Briana allowed William open just about half of her gifts. William also fell in love with a fur real polar bear that was originally a gift for Briana. She has such a kind heart and gives so much to her little brother. :-)

New Camera!

I have been waiting for a while to buy a new camera. (We are suppose to be saving up for my husbands new truck.) I had even given up hope on getting one anytime this year. Then one of my friends and a talented photographer decided to sell one of her cameras. I just couldn't say no!

William is such a great kid to photograph.




Briana can be a good subject too whenever I can catch her being natural and without her cheesy smile!

First Post of the New Year!

It's a little late but we have had so much going on. The kids have been sick. We actually took William and Alyssa to the doctor and discovered that William had an ear infection and Alyssa may get one soon. So, we got some antibiotics for them and still have a few more days to go.

Briana's birthday was this past Friday and I'll have more on that. I planned a large kid party on Friday, followed by a family party on Saturday and ended with a Disneyland trip today. So, I am exhausted. I have a lot more to post and update but I think I'll save that for tomorrow!!
